Paradys: A New Perspective on the World
Until August 24, the heart of Leeuwarden and several other locations in Fryslân will be transformed into a stage for thought-provoking art from the Netherlands and abroad. Under the theme grûn (ground), renowned artists from Fryslân and around the world explore our connection to the earth, our history, and the landscapes that surround us.
Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or a curious wanderer eager to see the city and province through new eyes — you’re welcome! Discover the stories of artists, explore hidden corners of the city and beyond, and marvel at the world beneath your feet.
Where to start
The exhibition is free to visit. In Leeuwarden, you can follow a walking route past the artworks (about 3 km), and you’ll also find installations in Beetsterzwaag, Mirns, and on the island of Vlieland.
