FLANK is your opportunity to join Arcadia and embed your initiative into something bigger. Not only will our channels boost your visibility, but you’ll also get the benefits of joining a larger movement that fuses art, culture and social themes. All kinds of projects are welcome to join, from a theatre production about your hometown to an art project made from local materials.

We’ll send you a toolkit with Arcadia FLANK logos for flags, flyers, your website and more. Your project will also be featured on our website and socials to help you reach a wider audience.

- The project is respectful and does not cause offence.

2025’s theme: grûn
The ground (Frisian: Grûn) beneath our feet connects us all, but it can also divide us. What does the future hold for how we use our land, how will technology impact us, and what will happen to traditions, the housing shortage and poverty? The 2025 edition of Arcadia is inspired by a phrase from the Frisian national anthem: “Dyn âlde eare, o Fryske grûn” (Your ancient honour, Oh Frisian Ground). What is our ‘common ground’, what stories lie hidden below, and how can we build a sustainable future together? Grûn challenges us to think about the ties that bind us and what we leave behind for future generations.
