Young makers, born in this century, get to work on their own theatre productions, concerts, cabaret performances, exhibitions and more. With complete freedom and support from professionals from the Frisian cultural field.
At Broei, new and aspiring young makers, born in this century, take you along to their ‘Arcadia-to-be’. To the ultimate world in which they want to live. With idiosyncratic productions they will show you what is on their minds, what affects them, what they worry about, or what they hope.
And they make those productions themselves. They will be creating their own theatre production, concert, cabaret performance, exhibition, installation and everything in between. Because at Broei, young people can work on their ideas in complete freedom. Whether they have experience as a maker or did not even know that there was a maker hidden inside. Professionals from the Frisian cultural field are ready to help where necessary.
Broei will be working towards two presentation moments a year, when all the productions will be brought together and given a podium. What will the 2025 edition be about? That is up to the young makers of that edition to decide. Registration has already started.
You are an artist or creative who likes to make new things. You like to think differently and shine a new light on problems and events and want to participate in Arcadia.
You are on the board of a (village) association and would like to do something with your members. Maybe you want to share your activity on a stage, want to organise an event in your local area, or want to support a cause that is really important to your members?
You want to participate in Arcadia as a company. Together with your employees, you want to work towards a better world. Perhaps you and your employees would like to volunteer, or you can help us in another way. Sign up now!

You are organising an event that you think would be great for the Arcadia program. Or perhaps you would like to collaborate with us or discuss ideas that are suitable for one of the program elements.
As a school, you fully agree that your students are the new generation and that we have to do everything in our power to work together to create a better world. For them! You want your curriculum to tie in with the Arcadia program or vice versa.
We encourage all students and young people to participate in the Arcadia program. Do you have a skill, talent or hobby, are you looking for a part-time job or internship, do you want to contribute with ideas or help us build? Everything is possible. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are, so sign up!

Do you have a skill that would be useful for us? Maybe you can shoot amazingly creative pictures, are a pro at copywriting or can organise an event in your sleep? We look forward to receiving your portfolio! However, sound engineers, podcasters and stage builders are also very welcome. We love working with freelancers, so who knows, we may approach you for a great job!
