Arcadia Jong is aimed at young people living in Fryslân. By learning to look, think and work as a researcher, maker or artist, they get to develop new skills that they will need for the future.
Arcadia Jong is aimed at young people living in Fryslân. By learning to look, think and work as a researcher, maker or artist, they get to develop new skills that they will need for the future.
It teaches them about the artist mindset and uses language, imagination, making and makership to develop the skills necessary for the future.
Collaborating, expressing yourself, having an open mind, coming up with creative solutions… These are skills that can help us find innovative solutions in a world that is changing so quickly. Arcadia Jong lets young people practice by doing, by working with, in and on Arcadia projects through their school. You will also see part of Arcadia Jong in Bouwurk, a colourful clubhouse for and by the “mienskip” that is being built in Leeuwarden. This gives the young people of Fryslân a podium to show all of Fryslân what they see, think, want and feel. Arcadia Jong is offered to schools across the province.
