At Arcadia, we believe that our society will become so much more beautiful if you help build it yourself. We give you a reason to step out the door. We shake things up, enthuse and challenge people. We will be seeing the results in the form of plays, exhibitions and works of art, and used as inspiration for events throughout the province. And we do that every three years. And we need you. You, with your good ideas, with your creativity, with your infectious optimism, with your can-do mentality. Or just you, with your wish to participate. Organisation or association

You would like to participate in Arcadia with your organisation, company or association. Together with your employees or members, you want to work towards a better and more beautiful Fryslân.

Independent creative

You are a creative, crafts(wo)man or freelancer, with unique skills that you would like share with us to make Arcadia 2025 a success.

As a school, you fully agree that your students are the new generation and that we have to do everything in our power to work together to create a better world. For them! You want your curriculum to tie in with the Arcadia program or vice versa.

Teenager/student

We encourage all students and young people to participate in the Arcadia program. Do you have a skill, talent or hobby, are you looking for a part-time job or internship, do you want to contribute with ideas or help us build? Everything is possible. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are, so sign up!

Arcadia Jong is aimed at young people living in Fryslân. By learning to look, think and work as a researcher, maker or artist, they get to develop new skills that they will need for the future.

Bouwurk

In 2025, we will be working on Bouwurk on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof in Leeuwarden: an innovative building made of sustainable materials and creative building blocks. Everyone can help build and contribute to the project. Once built, it will be used as a creative centre for people looking for a place to make, invent and experiment.

Young makers, born in this century, get to work on their own theatre productions, concerts, cabaret performances, exhibitions and more. With complete freedom and support from professionals from the Frisian cultural field.
