A playful mix of puppetry, music and imagination
A journey on ice in a changing world.
Gio and Cipe are fishing in an ugly, dirty, hot, stinking city. When they fish out an old ice cream machine, Cipe suddenly has an idea. 'I want to make ice cream for the entire city: a toeti per tutti!' But how do you get so much ice? At the North Pole of course! Finally an adventure! The world turns out to be bigger, more beautiful and more dangerous than they could ever have imagined. Once at the North Pole they encounter a polar bear. Can he help them with ice cream? And what will happen when all the ice cream machines are running at full power?
TOETI (4+) is a visual performance with two players, puppets, live music and video. It is the third part of the dinner triptych by IJsbeer INC. that shows where food comes from and what it does to the world around us. A playful performance where the imagination is in power with an ice cream to finish! Pssst… Did you know that almost all the decor in TOETI is made of plastic marine waste?
