After a world tour, the Icelandic bandSigur Rós returns to their homeland for a series of intimate performances in unexpected places — from village halls and barns to abandoned factories.
In Heima — meaning home — music, landscape and community come together in a visually poetic ode to connection. It is a film about returning, about the silence and beauty of the familiar, but also about the discomfort of confronting your roots. Much like in many Frisian villages, something new emerges here from what has existed for centuries. Heima shows how art, nature and community can create meaning together.
