In a world where shame often whispers and taboos remain silent, we create a place where silence gives way to stories. Here we make space for connection and leave exclusion behind. Everyone is welcome. Together with people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences, we explore what it takes to truly be heard and seen.

With Bread Stoven (baking bread) we build on the Water & Brood (Water & Bread) Project, in which we explored together with family members of (ex-)prisoners how loneliness and prejudice are connected. While baking bread and having a good time, we create space for stories and discuss emotions. With this simple but powerful communal act, we are looking at loneliness, taboos and connection from a new perspective.

Bread Stoves is organised in Bouwurk and everyone is welcome! This way, we give even more people the chance to participate in these special encounters. We create a warm, safe space where we not only bake bread, but also build an inclusive and connected future together.
