Part two of the Arriva podcast about Arcadia now online

Do you always start your day with a good podcast? Then you can add a three-part series to it from now on! Arriva made three podcasts with Arcadia about our 100-day manifestation. An interesting behind-the-scenes look, with the people behind Arcadia. In part two, we take a look inside Paradystersyl. With the theatre talents of the Broei (Simmering) project.

Tamara Schoppert, project leader of the theatre talent programme Broei, takes us to Paradystersyl, where seven young makers created a production to wake us up: we need to do something to save the earth. According to Sybrich van Hulst, one of the makers, it would already help if everyone took a small step, because then we could get somewhere. If we do nothing, it will go wrong regardless. They made a gripping production, in which a glimmer of hope shines through at the end.

For Tamara Schoppert, it’s important to give young makers the chance to create art in a professional way, with the help of established professionals. Because creativity and making are tremendously important for the future. She wants to give young people a voice.

With Broei, Arcadia wants to find and retain Frisian theatre talent by giving them the chance to experiment, develop and work with professionals.
